Security and other issues
I added myself, using my work email, as another member, to test that all members had editing rights. They do! But to do so they need to be, or become, a registered Blogger user. I also looked at the Security settings and have made myself a moderator so that I have to approve posts before they go live on the blog. Thanks to KB for the advice. Another colleague has shown me how to add descriptors to the images when the mouse hovers over them, so if you didn't know before, you can now find out what sort of an owl it is. Have also fine tuned adding links to the text. Originally I had just pasted the link into the text, but if you want it to be a hyperlink, you need to add the html code, in the same format that is added to the links in the left menu bar. Yeah, I know, this will be obvious to the html coders out there, but I am only learning ;-).
There are also quirky differences in the appearance when you compare between Firefox on my Mac and IE on my laptop. Borders around images remain brown in Firefox, but are coloured as links in IE (blue, then purple if you have followed the links. How predictable!
Hmmmm.... there is a lot to learn.
